different ways to reach your vacation destination

How do you get to your vacation destination? Do you drive your own car? Do you take a rental car? Do you take a bus, train or plane? There are so many great options for getting from one place to another, so, how do you know which means of transportation to take for your vacation? I created this blog with the hopes of giving myself a better idea of what my family could do to make our vacations even more fun and affordable. Hopefully, all of my research will help you and your family get away and enjoy yourselves even more.

Top Signs You Should Take An Airport Shuttle Instead Of A Taxi

When you think about getting transportation from the airport to your hotel or other destination when you're traveling, you might think about simply hailing a taxi. In many cases, this is one of the best methods of transportation to use when you are leaving an airport, whether you call and make arrangements for a taxi in advance or simply flag one down when you land. However, there are also airport shuttles that you can use instead of a taxi. These are a few signs that an airport shuttle might be the best transportation option for you next time that you travel.

You Don't Have a Lot of Luggage

First of all, if you are traveling with a lot of bags -- or if you have any oversized items with you, such as your skiing equipment -- then you might find that traveling on an airport shuttle will be a bit uncomfortable. After all, you won't have as much space on the average airport shuttle, and you'll need to share the space with other passengers. However, if you are someone who likes to travel lightly -- such as if you're used to traveling with just a carry-on bag or backpack anyway -- then you might find that getting on and off an airport shuttle with your bag is not a hassle at all.

You're Looking to Save Money

One of the greatest advantages of taking an airport shuttle instead of a taxi is the fact that it's often quite a bit more affordable. If you are traveling on a budget or are simply looking for the best deal on transportation, then you should definitely check into airport shuttle rates at your destination.

You Don't Mind the Ride Taking Longer

Although there are quite a few benefits of taking an airport shuttle instead of a taxi, one downside is the fact that it can take a bit longer. After all, you will be riding along with others who might need to get dropped off at other hotels or destinations. If you don't really mind settling in on the shuttle and waiting a little while longer to get to your destination, then a shuttle might be right for you. If you're in a big rush, however -- such as if you have a meeting not too long after you land, or if you just want to start your vacation as quickly as possible -- then you might want to take a taxi since it should get you where you're going more quickly.
